Put NATURE at the ♥️ of your HOMESCHOOL

A complete homeschool program for 2020/2021

Daily nature-based, inquiry-led activities and social connection for homeschoolers aged 0 to 11 years (and their older siblings!)

A tried and tested model for nature-based homeschooling

You've FINALLY found your dream homeschool program if you believe that young children learn best when they are:

OUTSIDE IN NATURE - Not tied to a desk / Not glued to a screen / Not filling in worksheets
BEING LED BY THEIR INTERESTS - Following their own natural curiosity and fascinations that keep them engaged & motivated to learn
CONNECTING WITH OTHER CHILDREN - Enriching multi-age learning, whether it's siblings working together or a diversity of fellow homeschoolers sharing their passions.

If that sounds like the homeschooling experience you want for your family, then Virtual Nature School is for YOU!

What To Expect

Each weekday morning, we meet up briefly on Zoom to discuss our plans and get excited for the day ahead.

We go out and explore the natural world with intent and purpose: Inside, Outside and Beyond.

After a few hours, we meet up again virtually over lunch and share our adventures with other families. Children often enjoy continuing their inquiry for the rest of the day.

What NATURE-based homeschooling looks like...

Nature is all around us, including inside our homes. Some people think that nature is only found outdoors, but so many facets of the natural world can be explored while indoors too.

There are so many materials to investigate and fun-filled activities to keep children active, engaged and happy in the home.
Our daughters (7 and 9) love having something to look forward to each morning. They feel a sense of connection working with the other children virtually.
Jess Cargill

The space just outside your home is rich with possibilities for learning about, in, for and with nature. Whether it's a garden big or small or a communal outdoor space, children can discover so much in a place they are familiar with and have access to.
I'm motivated by the sense of community, and the joy of seeing what the children have created at the end of each session. The projects are rigorous and purposeful, and the Zoom class of kids feels genuinely connected by the excitement of exploration and discovery.
Teresa Tweed

Taking the exploration of nature beyond the home and into the local area, community or even further afield opens up limitless opportunities to stimulate a child's curiosity. A walk through a nearby wooded area or a holiday trip abroad opens up a doorway to new discoveries.
Everything its absolutely fantastic for families and for children, it's a chance to meet like-minded children online who you may never have had the chance to meet.
